Cy asked: "I ran across a U-3 where the sostenuto was way out of =
adjustment. Only =3D
a few of the tabs engaged when I held the sustain pedal down and then =
=3D
the sostenuto pedal.

I had a hard time getting a good view of the alignment of the tabs vs. =
=3D
the sostenuto bar. Is there an easier way than trial and error to align =
=3D
them?

--Cy,
Sounds to me like the trapwork isn't actuating far enough. You might try =
adjusting the pedal up first. i.e. the sostenuto is not pivoting far =
enough to catch ALL of the tabs. The ones it's catching now are the ones =
out of adjustment, probably.<G>
