Welcome, Tim,

Obviously, damp air is a likely candidate. Tell us more about the climate
control. Is it a Dampp-Chaser system installed in the piano, or a room
dehumidifier? Why is it on a timer? Most dehumidifiers have a setting like
a thermostat, and shut themselves on and off automatically. How long is it
on per day?

Have you measured the humidity in the air?
