1984 G1. US Market. Again, if you don't want to steam them, which works very 
quickly and thoroughly, the simply fill the pot to a level high enough to 
submerge, or partially submerge the dampewr felts; let soak. same result.

Well duh! That's because they didn't put the wood together with hide glue. I 
am suprised that it worked on Yammie Dampers, as they are glued with 
&quot;god nows what&quot; kind of glue, that usually isn't effected by 
steam. Hmmm? How old was this Yamama?
