rusted tuning pins to be used?

aid she is=20
getting out of it. There was alot of good stuff for the price however, there=
 are a=20
couple of boxes of questionable tuning pins.

=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 These were 'new in the box' at one time and never u=
sed but after=20
sitting in a damp garage, they have a slight amount of rust, not much at all=
 just=20
very small shallow spots.

           Are these pins good for maybe old uprights or somthing, or should=
=20
pins with even the smallest amount of rust never be used? How meticulous=20
should one be with this sort of thing?
