I'd like to think there is such a thing as appropriate list etiquette. =
Seems to me that if one would not feel comfortable saying something to =
an informal group of piano technicians whom you don't know well - let's =
say a group in the lobby of the hotel at a PTG convention, or when you =
are visiting a large PTG chapter meeting - then they should not say it =
on this list. Please be aware this list is not a group of 15 techs at a =
chapter meeting either - many more read these posts.

Maybe the best way to picture this is to imagine yourself demonstrating =
how to notch a bridge at one of the stations of a rebuilding skills =
workshop at a PTG convention. You are done with the demonstration, there =
are 45 folks mulling around your station, it is question and answer time =
and you have their attention. Now what are you going to talk about. What =
is appropriate fare? Please think about it.

Was your intent to inflame and anger? Obviously. And yes, have no doubt, =
there is smoke coming out of my ears. However, I will do my best to =
refrain from detailing most of my reactions to this obscene diatribe. I =
strongly suspect many would have little interest.

Please keep your immature tirades to yourself. OT indicates something =
socially acceptable, but not directly related to pianos. It does not =
stand for "O"btuse and "T"hick-witted.
