Finishing ivories

 I find that if I just use hot water from the tap, along with a little 
detergent, that it works as well as does boiling the ivories. For "timing" .. I find 
that once the water has cooled all the way that the ivories are as clean of 
glue, etc. as when boiling is used....
Just a thought.
