audience throws off pitch

The pitch would actually go sharp with moisture, owing to expansion of the
barrel's diameter.  However, there's not really much of an effect on pitch.
Woodwinds are pretty stable.  I once played oboe, which is probably the
fussiest woodwind, and I never experienced that.
