Hi Tom ,
                     I have heard it debated both ways.  I'm not so sure 
that it is important , other than being consistent.
The newer Knuckles have a much closer kind of texture than the buck skin of 
by gone years.

Now I will duck, don Conrad's finest flame suit, and await the flack.
