The Kimball name belongs to Kimball International, Inc., the parent company
of what used to be the Kimball Piano Company. Kimball International sold off
the piano business but retained the rights to the name. Kimball
International remains one of the largest office furnishings manufacturers in
the world.

  To a Frenchman, this sounds a bit like Masonberg & Hamlindorf or
Chickeringen would sound to an American.
  What happened to the Kimball name? Did some Far East outfit pick it up?
