Needled lightly 10-11 o'clock to 2-1 o'clock, maybe 4 light jabs on each side. I'm a stickler for a nice open, breathing quality of sound and these opened beautifully. Another interesting tidbit I noticed was how the needle felt when going in and out. I have never felt such a dense felt configuration. It's a creature from another planet!
