---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment List, Inspected a George Steck baby grand the other day, and I need to write a proposal to make it play like a normal piano. Needs the usual stuff: shaping, bolstering, regulating, clean and lube, plug lots of stripped screws, etc. In addition, the felt covering of a dozen or so sostenuto tabs has come loose and is hanging down off the tab. Anyone seen this before? Can I just re-glue the felt onto the tab, or should I plan to replace parts (might be interesting trying to find sostenuto parts for a 1930 Steck). Also, very short engagement of underlevers on key ends, and therefore some severe wear of key-end felt. Can't move the action in, can I shim the back action out? Advice from anyone who's been there before would be welcome. thanks Mike Michael Spalding spalding48@earthlink.net ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
