OT Spam? Use your judgment.

I did not realize I had left my normal signature lines on any of my posts to
this group.

I consider spam to be an email that wastes my time by sending me information
of something that is not the slightest bit of interest to me in any way.
While that would apply to many of the posts coming from this group, I read
them anyway because I can glean things of interest and ideas from many,
perhaps most of you fine technicians.  When I get spam email, it is totally
devoted to a subject that I do not need to know about, be it viagra, hot
babes, or methods for improving my body parts.  Those fill my mail box with
huge graphics and gibberish to throw off the spam detectors.

I have noticed the signature lines in many if not most of the posts I
receive from friends, customers, suppliers, and such.  I do not consider
these spam because I can totally ignore them.  I know they are there.  I can
ignore them.  I am concerned with what is above the signature lines.
However, if I trust the person sending them I may read them if I get them
often enough.  I may just enquire about them if the person they come from
knows the product or service they promote.

If you were to ask me about the nutritional supplement line I take daily,
which is found at the bottom of my signature here, you would learn that much
of what your doctors know about you or your family's medical conditions may
be incomplete.  You would learn how close to me this problem is.  How my
main shop assistant, who is 38, is preparing to pass his tenth year of
having terminal cancer and this simple substance derived from fruits and
vegetables has given him the strength to come into the shop 8 hours a day up
from 3 hours a week...and how he no longer needs his cane to walk because of
the tumor on his spine.  This stuff is a miracle food.  Since they put him
on hospice care last fall, never expecting him to live this long, he began
taking it and has more energy than he has had in over 5 years.  This stuff
has given him his life back and it has given me back a great technician to
tackle the backlog at my shop.  I also no longer think I may have to deal
with a funeral in the near future.  Now THAT is the infomercial.  I will say
no more about it unless you ask me.

If you have anyone in your family with major health problems, I can tell you
more but only if you ask me.

If you wish to no longer open any of my posts, fine, so be it.  One or more
of them may include my signature lines if I forget to delete them.  But I
promise you if you learn about this stuff, you will not consider it spam,
you will call me up and personally thank me when this stuff gives you back
your loved one's life.
