OT - Oscar Peterson "Newport Years" - Joy Spring

Hello again Dave. Yes, I also have another CD that he plays Joy Spring on,
"On The Town", however, the ad lib solo work he has done on the one I
looking for is supposed to be the better of the recordings he's done on Joy
Spring.
My reason for the search is that I play jazz piano, with my 7 piece band,
and occassionally while playing an outdoor park concert, I'll play a solo
piece, which I'd like to do this one some time in the future.
I also have a CD of Billy Taylor playing the same piece and his arrangement
is excellant. Many times I'll transcribe the ad lib solo work by a
pianist and then write an arrangement with the transcription as a part of
the arrangement. Can take many hours of writing and sometimes it comes out
quite nice. I always give credit to the artist that I borrowed from.
I've written 8 or 10 arrangements of arrangements, that Diana Krall has cut,
and with her knowledge, for my daughter to sing with the band.
Well now that you know a little bit about myself, what do you do along with
being a tech?
Many regards, Gordon Holley
