Walnut veneer question solved?

These are the most beautiful "figured" woods that I know of.  They are made
by trees that have two separate trunks, and join at the base.  Thus they
have two intertwined grain patterns.  This is as referred to as "crotch"
veneer.  The Hoadley book describes this in more detail.
