Hmmmmm. Okay. Maybe it IS "burl walnut", by the picture of the panel in the attachment. BUT it is NOT "burl walnut" as I know the definition: meaning from a "burl", or viral knot on a tree branch. Nor was "burl" the name used in the veneer photo I saw previously. Walnut veneer from the trunk near the roots sounds most plausible. In any event, the framed veneer panel in the attachment looks most like it. I have a Lindemann player in it, and could use some for the lid. Actual "burl" ( viral node ) veneer is never big enough for a whole lid, burls being, at largest, beach-ball sized.
