Hi all,

You may have heard that there is a new list that has been set up to address
issues relating to long-range planning. I've just made a request on that
list for everyone to just simply list what they see as a problem that exists
in the PTG. Could you all take a few moments to come up with something to
add to the discussion? Go to:

http://ptg.org/mailman/listinfo/planning

Like pianotech, only members can post to the list. It is possible to select
the option to not recieve any mail, if you aren't interested in following
the discussion. Associate members, this is an opportunity for your voice to
be heard....

Here is what I posted to the planning list:

'round and 'round we go...

So, everyone add to this list, please. "I see a problem with"______________

1. The structure that allows Associate members who advertise their
membership in the PTG.
2. The structure that doesn't encourage Associate members to participate
more fully as soon as they join the PTG.
3. Too few members becoming RPTs
4. Too many members becoming RPTs (tests too easy)
5. ?

At this point, just list whatever comes up. Don't anyone start slamming or
commenting on any of the ideas, let's get them out. Someone keep track, and
during step 2, we can go over them all, and then if there is some common
problems that don't cancel each other out, maybe THEN, we can start to
formulate a plan...

How 'bout it?

Ron Koval
