Workman's Compensation Insurance

List, this is becoming commonplace for institutions. It's really not a bad idea to have this coverage. Not only do you, as a sole proprietor have to this coverage, but if you have subcontractors, they have to also. 
In fact, many want you to have liability coverage as well. 
What do these people think we are, professional business owners?

List, An RPT in a nearby town recently received a letter from one of the officials of a church, for whom he had been tuning pianos for several years, that stated that he would no longer be able to tune for that church until he had obtained Workman's Compensation insurance, which runs about $1500 per year in this part of the country.  Have any of you ever encountered such?
