Rubber band sound, makes me think of the vibe of the moderator spring (the
one that hold the muffler rail up, on Kawai it is even more noisy than on
Yamahas if that is possible), or the pedal springs, or even the light pedal
levers that are often very noisy. But the Celeste spring is in the good
range. All those light tubes and compound are having very distinctive
resonance frequencies.

A little braid in the spring helps. I've also find a piece of wood locked
under the frame and the soundboard and responding to some notes, but the
tone was not as a spring tone.

But my first take is of course the orientation of the casters <G>

If the rubber band sound was coming from the first few notes just above
the break on a hockey-stick design, I would conclude that it was by design.
Up at F69 - ya got me! :-(
