Hi, Terry! Actually, I am familiar with both Yamaha U1, Yamaha P121 (Made in England) and Kawai K-25, being a Yamaha and Kawai-dealer in Norway. U1 is with no doubt the best piano of these three models, and the P121 is a kind of a cheaper version of U1. It would not be fair to evaluate K-25 together with U1, because of the difference in price. K-25 costs US$ 6.500 and U1 costs $ 10.000 here in Norway. K-25 is a good alternative, but then they may want to upgrade once more in a few years. So if they can afford a U1, they should go for it. If not, the K-25 will also give them good value for the money! Kawai also have the K-50 ($ 9.000 in Norway), and this is one of the professional models, more comparable with U1. However, it is the Kawai K-25 that they are looking most closely at and the one that I am least familiar with. Anyone know much about this model?
