Plate Removal

  A alternative method to remove a plate with
minimal lifting, and no beam, is to put the piano
on its side. Place some rug between the plate edge and

the rim. wiggle the plate out standing on its side
without having to lift at all. 

  This works very well with little stress on small
grands up to 6 foot or so. With larger grands with
heavy plates .......do get a lift.....ask me how I
know.
