I service on old upright piano for which a previous technician installed = new plastic keytops, probably a couple decades ago. They keep coming=20 off; nearly every one has come off at least once. I used to use=20 Dryburgh superglue, but they began coming off again, so I switched to=20 Weldwood contact cement, and that nearly always does okay for me, but=20 not on this piano. This has been a chronic problem for years. Do you have a never-fail suggestion for some other glue? " Clyde, This is precisely why I quit putting keytops on with contact cement! The = darned stuff breaks down after a while and it will not be "rejuvenated"! = I use PVC-E and find it is satisfactory, although it takes longer to set = up and, IMO, needs to be clamped. PVC-E will adhere to that olde = contact. Best Regards, Joe Garrett, R.P.T. Captain, Tool Police Squares R I ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
