Is telling our colleagues about a very nice trick a gospel? retoric? Is=20= that me? If that's the case, I'd better turn my attention to reading Donald Duck=20= again. smile......(; >)) I would give you the advice to take a fairly new Yamaha grand as a good=20= example. Listen to the tones and try to find a weaker one. Then pull out the action, depress that key, go through let off and=20 drop. Hold the key down on the front punching and look at the distance=20= between the underside of the hammer tail and the upperside of the back=20= check. If that distance is exactly 2 mm, you can't do much to change that tone=20= with the back check height. However, if the distance is clearly bigger or clearly less, and it=20 often is the case, you need a special tool to adjust the back check=20 height. Shove the thing back and listen carefully. You will absolutely notice a big difference. friendly greetings from Andr=E9 Oorebeek Amsterdam - The Netherlands www.concertpianoservice.nl www.grandpiano.nl "where music is, no harm can be" ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
