Oh, I suppose I could. I've definitely tossed it about in my head. But =
I'm trying to limit myself to 10 major new shop experiences a week. A =
lot of things go into a lid that I've never done before such as solid =
wood edging (on a curved edge) and veneering. Just haven't crossed those =
bridges yet.

  Terry,
I find it hard to believe that you can put together a =
soundboard but can't manufacture a lid. Especially when the lid will be =
covered with veneer hiding some less than perfect glue lines. What's up?

I agree with you that any good woodworking shop should be able to do =
this work. Good luck actually arranging it! I've got a lid-less square =
grand in my shop that I bet I have spent close to 40 hours hauling a =
similar lid to wood shops and having carpenters come to my shop to =
inspect, measure, etc. I have yet to find one willing to do the work - =
at any price.

Any good woodworking shop should be able to do this for you. I =
know of at least two here in Terre Haute, so St Louis should have =
several to choose from.=20

I have a customer with a piano needing legs, lyre music rack and =
lid. I can get legs and lyre from supply house but who can make a new =
lid, apron, lid log, and music desk and rack?
