McLube for plate flange glassing

Jon:

Do you find that the chalk by itself is adequate protection?  I do use
carpenter's chalk mixed with water to paint the flange for fitting, but
I've never tried it as a mold release agent.  I've always wondered if it
would resist the epoxy that I use.
