The plate has many forces acting on it. But considering just the tension of the string load, how does the treble horn let the braces share that load? Sure, it couples the plate to the rim, but just at one end of the plate. Wouldn't there have to be a corresponding coupling at the tail end of the plate? --Cy Shuster-- Rochester, MN
