thumb protection when re-pinning

Dave,

I use self-sticking guard tape. I get it from Lee Valley in Canada.
It's king of a rubberized gauze that only sticks to itself. You can
wrap it around your fingers and it will do a very good job. I use it
mainly when restringing so I don't burn my skin when I do the coil
winding.
