OK...I got the journals on CD. I know I should have done it a long time =
ago.

I am looking at the plans for the pneumatic press of Clair Davies. The =
dimensions he gives are for a press big enough to do the biggest board =
"he's" ever done. Is there any reason to make my press any larger?

Terry, I know you have made modifications to yours. If I may ask, what =
were they and why did you change them. Clair mentions his improvements =
on this press over the one he made in the 80's. His reasons were for =
speed and lack of redundant movements. Did you do the same, or were =
your modifications done to accommodate available parts?

It seems apparent on the surface that Clair is compression crowning. In =
light of recent discussions on this matter, I am inclined to opt for rib =
crowning. It just makes sense to me. Are there any modifications I =
need to consider to make this press work in this fashion?

Tooling up for this kind of work seems never ending. I've almost =
completed my hot box for drying. I based my plans on Ron Overs design. =
And I need to thank him again for going out of his way to help out a =
fellow technician. Thanks Ron.

Thanks list
