Hi Terry,

I experienced the same problem, but just muddled through. Pieces of rubber 
sticking to the pins and coils,and the rubber piece staying on the pin when I 
lifted up on the drill. A real pain.

On another note...  have you tried the Pianotek polita polish for cleaning 
strings? It sucks! Much softer than the Schaff version, it bends too much and 
seems not to have enough grit.
