Dear List, >From the number of members who have confessed to being the subject of this book, it is clear to me that this licentiousness is a serious problem in our noble profession. What could be causing it? Are our tuning forks vibrating too close to our brains? Are we inhaling too much Protek? Are our tuning hammer handles emitting harmful chemicals? Those hard benches we sit on? What can be done? We definitely need a support group - perhaps PTA? How about an 800 hotline with a psychiatrist on call 24/7? Know anyone qualified? (Perhaps, Dr. Phil in West Florida) In any case, we should petition the government to conduct a study on piano-tuning-lust before it spreads and causes world-wide piano degradation.
