Shellac

Since there seems to be some interest in shellac - what it is and where 
it comes from, I thought this article might be of interest.  These are 
scans I made some time ago of an article about shellac.  I don't 
remember what magazine I got them from.

Shellac, like other products which we tend to take for granted and 
which are available to us here at moderate prices, is available to us 
mainly because there are places in the world were many people are very 
poor.
