Lost Motion Compensator

I've come across a lost motion compensator which takes the other route to
solve the problem. It employs a bar that lifts up the back of the keys as
you press the pedal thus taking up the slack between the capstans and the
whippen heels. It's weird though to see the keyboard drop as you press the
pedal!
