Hello Ron The proportional relationships MUST remain relatively constant. It's the old story: If you tension up a string until it is a semi-tone higher, all the relevant partials are still there and have taken on the attributes of the higher pitch. If they haven't we might as well all go and be garbage men/women - or Astronauts.... ;-) Regards Michael G (UK)
