Terry,
   Waxing them is good, but I dislike wax transferring to the raw wood 
panel. I use old sand paper sheets... you can stick them together, or 
whatever. The backs are semi-non-stick, in most cases, and the leftover 
grit grabs the clamp or the block or whatever.

   Live and learn, no?
