Have tried with a pop rivet tool, have seen the trick on the back of an old issuer of the journal. Indeed it work, but the pin tend to stay locked in my rivet pliers. May be I should drill inside to have a larger hole. Nowadays it is very simple with a lever (screwdriver, shame on me !)and cutting pliers (and a bit of force) install a little metal plate to avoid marring the wood, and pull straight. Not very long to do but still 2 hours to change all pins, and then , some balance pin finish less straight than others, may be corrected later. Greetings Isaac OLEG Entretien et réparation de pianos.
