Virus Alert! (This is for real - I found it in my 'puter! Yikes!)

I went ahead and deleted it too, before I saw the messages about its being a hoax.  Then emptied the Recycle Bin.  Now can't find the files to reinstall.  They don't show up on a search of the Windows XP install disk.  Why?      --Dave N.
