Water(?) stain

Friends,

A Baldwin with a very nice cherry finish has a milkish stain on the
music shelf.  I don't remember seeing that last year.  It looks like
there may have been a flower vase there.

Is this something I can take care of, or do we need a professional to
remove the evidence of the dirty deed and refinish the area?  No, I am
not experienced in furniture touchup.  I'm just asking if there is a
quick and easy remedy.
