Noisy spring coils

Joe,

Thanks for your suggestion.  I know you are a fan of Ballistol, and I might
be, too, if I give it a chance.  And in this case, I might!  :-)  Would you
recommend I remove the hammer spring rail to do this?  It seems risky to use
*any* kind of spray inside the piano where the spray can get on anything and
everything.
