Its head needs to match the profile of the two cap heads, the 
combination of which Richard was dreaming of initially. If he can 
describe the combination of curves which that pair of cap heads 
presented to the rep cushion, then a single cap could be fashion. 
Oblong because it couldn't be wider than the keystick, but would be 
lengthened to  represent the two caps.  And it would have to be 
cranked upwards and down, while remaining parallel to  the keystick. 
(Remember the original difficulty of being able to get to the back 
cap with a regulating tool.)

Go figure. And tell me in the morning.
