Hi Alan,

I knew it was too good to last. Should never make promises I can't keep.

I understand what you are saying it is just un ? fortunate that I do not =
live in America where you have all these political battles, security, =
and freedom issues that are very prominent in your country at this time. =
We, in other countries do not have these problems because the rest of =
the world is at peace. ???? Fortunately this list, it is world wide, and =
I will point out that it appears to be only Americans who seem to treat =
this list as a general topic forum.

It is time for reason and understanding. Not conflict. That is, on the =
list between the piano tuning fraternity.

I guess you could say that I just feel sorry for the people in 2013 that =
do a search on the pianotech thingie and find an article by someone whom =
they thought (in 2013) was a nice level headed guy. I just hate (no, =
dislike) the thought that everything I say (that is incorrect or off =
colour [English spelling] ) is saved for an eternity.

I understand about freedom of speech, it is good, it can be blown away =
by the wind. And if it is speech in the open I can always walk away if I =
do not want to listen. Because we also have the freedom of listening. =
But when it is in writing I have a problem. There are many books, =
magazines etc that I will not buy again because they offend me. This is =
my choice. The problem is that I half read some of the garbage that has =
been posted and want to cancel my subscription then I find something =
that makes being on the list worthwhile.
=20
Sure, I make mistakes and sound off at times but I try to limit my off =
piano topics to say, 1 per week ?.

And speaking of correctness the saying is "Put another scrimp on the =
barbie"
Paul Hogan in an advert on American TV about Australia.

Regards

  Well, Tony, no.

As a smatter of fact, I agree wholeheartedly with what you have =
written here. Sometimes I get testy, etc., because I feel very deeply =
about certain things. And frankly there are political battles, security, =
and freedom issues very prominent in this country at this time. Emotions =
can and do run high.

I also react very badly to Political Correctness, in all it's ugly =
forms--especially when people trash other people who don't happen to =
hold to certain viewpoints. That, you have unfortunately seen, has been =
a real "trigger" for me. I shall in future, like you said, try to be =
"slow to anger, quick to forgive."

When I have felt that I stepped over the line, I have apologized =
on-line and off. I've also tried (not always successfully) to make my =
comments somewhat lighthearted, rather than ranting.

I don't exactly know why you feel I'm one of the "bad boys" on here. =
It certainly is not my intention. If I've offended you or anyone out =
there, I'm sorry.

But I do enjoy my freedom of speech and it's one of many freedoms I =
shall not be denied.

So, as they say in Botswana, put another chimp on the barbie. Let's be =
happy. I shall try to live your resolution, also.
