I have a customer that is considering selling her 1926 Steinway M to a close friend of hers. She asked me what her piano might be worth in a private sale. I told her I would do a little digging for her.

The piano is fairly nice. I think most of the action is original and is a bit sluggish (not real bad, just a little slow). Fairly new strings, dampers, hammers and block. Everything refinished very nicely - black case shows a bit of grain. Other than that, piano looks very nice. Sounds good.

Seller is in Florida, potential buyer is in Massachusetts.

Any opinions would be appreciated. I'm also going do dig on pianomart, et. al. Thanks.
