I'll bet if you separate out the copper you could get money for it. I had
a neighbor who used to burn off the insulation from copper wire in his
back yard so he could sell the copper. (By the smell of some of the stuff
he used to burn, I'm guessing it wasn't too environmentally friendly.)

I'd like to hear some clever ways of unwinding the bass strings!
