This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Paul, Get a heavy set of pliers that have a sopt that is a little narrower = than the pin size you are using. Mark with a file on the side of the = jaws where you want to put the end of the wire to form the becket. = Tapered jaws work great as you can mark several sizes of pins ie 2, 3, = 4s. Use the pliers to form the becket then use your twister to form the = coil. For me most errors come making the becket not the coil. Or you can = wait a little for the new coil making tool comming soon <G> if it works = O:( Joe Goss imatunr@srvinet.com www.mothergoosetools.com ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Phil Frankenberg=20 To: pianotech=20 Sent: Thursday, July 31, 2003 6:26 PM Subject: Stringing question Can anyone give me a tip or two on making the coil for the thickest = single wound strings on a large grand. It's kinda scary with wire that = thick and you only get one chance to get it right. Thanks to all in = advance.
