Terry, The reason you can't find Dyna 2 info on the site is I haven't gotten around to posting it. The idea with Dyna 2 is to let it do the work for you. Apply one thick, heavy coat, wait overnight, spatula off, rub down with alcohol and red Scotchbrite, wipe down with alcohol and paper towels, and you're done. No neutralizing, very little odor, no methylene chloride, no hazmat, biodegradable, WILL NEVER SOFTEN GLUE (no lifted veneers). No fisheye causing wax. Fantastic cling to vertical services. Once you get the hang of it, you can do a 5'4" grand with 1.5 gallons, though at first you'll probably waste some. I'd try 3 gallons to make sure you have enough. Some heavily varnished pianos take more than lacquer or shellac. Painted over pianos always use more. You should use a respirator, but if you walk into a room with active stripper, you will not be knocked out with fumes. This is some great stuff. I tried 10 similar strippers, and this was laughably the best. $48/gal, $45/gal/dozen gals. Your Cream Pore Filler, sealer, and oil will ship Wednesday, the 5 gal clear Monday. Thanks for trying PianoLac. I looked at your web site and don't see any description of the Dyna 2. Please provide details. I had tried some citrus stripper in the past with poor results - I trust this is something very different? Fumes? Can I use it in the shop - do I need a respirator? Just slop it on, wait overnight and take off finish with putty knife? Is it thick enough to adhere to a vertical surface? How much do you use on a small grand? Do you need to wash/neutralize the wood surface with anything after scraping the finish off? > > Thanks. > > Terry Farrell > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "pianolac" <pianolac@bestweb.net> > To: "Pianotech" <pianotech@ptg.org> > Sent: Tuesday, April 29, 2003 9:31 AM > Subject: Re: Refinishing - Stripping & Stain Uneveness > > > > Dyna 2 is $48/gal.
