3 M Makes 25 yards strips of 1" wide cloth backed wet and dry sandpaper. 
About 10 years ago I bought two grits, 180 and 120.  I use these strips not 
only for hammer rails, but also for polishing hammers, and I glue it to 
strips of wood for sandpaper files. I hope they still make this stuff, 
because I'm almost out of both rolls.
