L vs. M (was O vs. M)

List,

I saw some of the discussion about a possible mislabeled Steinway O.  There 
is a New York Steinway M at the Wisconsin Governor's Mansion which has "L" 
stamped in the plate well.  I mentioned this to one of my Chapter Members 
once who suggested that maybe that would make it more valuable.

While I think that possibly, a piano which has always been at the Governor's 
Mansion might sell for more in the future than one which had no celebrity 
status, I hardly think the wrong model number stamped inside would make it a 
collector's item.  I also don't think that piano would ever be sold in my 
lifetime either.
