Breaking strength(s) of strings

Ron,
I just checked out my "Scale Master" program.
Using A49 with a speaking length of 15.75" and a core of .039", the tension
is 168.3; the breaking strength is 40.3%
Same note, with same length, core of .040", the tension is 177.0 and the
breaking strength is 40.6%.
There is a difference. Albeit is only .3%, but it IS a difference, non the
less.
I would have to check with the programmer, Mark Gallant, to be specific
about what formula is being used. I rather suspect it is not Sanderson's.
Although I could be wrong there as well.
Best Regards,
