Shop lights

Chuck,

My local Sears store has been running a sale, $12 each, on what they call a "performance utility light". Electronic balast gives it instant start (no flicker) and no hum. The box also says 90% more light using 25% less energy. Has the Energy Star logo. American Fluorescent Corp part number 234SLESW, UPC 37949 29177. I've got them in my shop, with Philips F32T8/TL735/ALTO tubes, very natural light, at $4 each. The T8 tube is smaller diameter; This leaves a larger gap between the tube and the reflector, which I was told allows more light to be reflected out into the room.

hope this helps,

Mike
