I suspect this captured but a moment in his shop. I doubt he is "disconsolate" most days. You don't do what he has done and have a glum look on your face day after day. I am fortunate in that my shop is in my backyard. My shop windows overlook a wooded farm lot. It adds to the smile my pianos put on my face (most days).
