Possibly checking with Yamaha/Kawai etc as to the size of their inserts/bolts and considering retrofitting if all else fails...

>: Greetings -
>:
>: A customer of mine had his Horugel grand "professionally" stored while
>: remodeling was taking place in his home. (I know, it being a Horugel, he
>: would have done well to leave it stored, but alas....) Upon returning
>: the piano late last week, the professionals discovered that they lost the
>: leg bolts, leaving them no option other than to leave the piano up on its
>: side in the living room. Not what the missus had pictured, to be sure.
>: I have been asked by the storage facility to remedy the problem, at their
>: expense.
>:
>: BY ANY CHANCE, does anyone have any idea what size of threaded bolt may
>: have been used on these? It is approximately 15-20 years old, I would
>: guess. I only know from talking to the storage people that it is a
>: machine bolt, metric, no doubt, that threads up into threaded metal
>: inserts in the case bottom. I plan on going armed with a variety of
>: sizes to see what fits, but if anyone knows anything that may narrow the
>: field a bit, I would be most grateful.
