It must be a real wall-flower next to more capable software. For my "PTx" box, the filtering is done in the From field. I vote for #3. We should implement it, and those people on the list who don't know have to filter will surface in the next few weeks, with their complaints. We can talk each of them through the filtering set-up, until there are none left who would prefer #1. I agree that the list should be as autonomous as possible, requiring your attention as seldom as possible. But the addition of seven lines of list service addresses is an even worse waste of visual space that the "[pianotech]" Subject prefix (although it appears not to add more than 1K to the text). How's'bout: 1.) a single line address for the FAQ. 2.) adding the full seven lines to the first post stored on the server at the beginning of each week (say, 12:01AM, Mondays mornings).
